On Monday morning we resumed our journey, having decided to heed the bad weather warning of the snowbirds. We set off toward the west, and after a long drive through rural areas bordered by snow-clad mountains, we arrived in Missoula, where we stopped at the KOA RV Park. KOA is a chain of parks across the USA, and the one in Missoula was inexpensive and well equipped - and we were delighted to find it, as it was really cold and our Tom-Tom decided to take us on a real wild-goose/rv chase, past the town into the surrounding countryside, up a small road where we finally managed to find a circular driveway on someone's smallholding, and turned our rig around - almost impossible otherwise! Missoula is completely surrounded by mountains, all of which were snow-covered, so the wind was icy, and we were grateful for our cosy Huisie.
We overslept on Tuesday morning and were a bit late leaving Missoula, believeing we had crossed the mountains - boy, were we wrong!
We were fascinated by the squirrel who cautiously approached the dripping tap next to our site, and after peering around a few times, he hopped up onto the tap and had a long drink! (Pictures dim as they were taken through the window)
